Booking Your Wedding Photography

When booking your wedding photography, it is advisable to book as early as possible to secure your special day.

This is highly recommended during our peak wedding season, which is between April and October, thereby avoiding any disappointment!

In keeping with our philosophy, if you require a change of date, for whatever reason, after the initial booking has been confirmed, we will do our best to accommodate you providing the Photographer has not been previously booked on that day.

This change does not incur any additional charges. However, if a change of date cannot be accommodated and the booking becomes void then a cancellation fee will come into effect. (See cancellation clause for more information).

Please note: If the photography is to occur outside of the Darwin metropolitan area, travelling time may be negotiated, depending upon the desired location.

Payment Terms

At the time of the booking confirmation, Digitello Photography requires a 50% deposit to ensure that day is exclusively reserved for you, effectively taking that day “off the market”.

We only photograph one wedding, or event on any given day, so once that day has been reserved any future or further work is declined.

Please understand that we cannot accept part payments as a deposit; the deposit must be paid in full. Please understand that bookings can only be confirmed on payment of the deposit, however we offer two payment options for the remaining balance of the wedding photography package:


1) The client can elect to pay for the wedding photography package in full, prior to the wedding day, or

2) The client can elect to complete the remaining balance within 30 days from the date of the wedding. Please note that the remaining balance must be paid in full within this time, regardless of whether you have made your photograph selection or not.

Please understand that we cannot offer any extensions to these terms. Digitello Photography accepts all major credit cards (except for Diners Club International), Internet banking transfers, direct deposits, bank and personal cheques and PayPal deposits through our website (please see website for details).

Cancellation

After the booking has been taken and confirmed and should the wedding be cancelled for any reason, a cancellation fee will come into effect. This cancellation fee is charged at 20% of the total package price, of whichever package was originally selected.

This fee is, in effect, due to the wedding date being taken initially “off the market” at the time of the original booking confirmation and consequently any further enquiries for potential clients are therefore declined, resulting in a potential loss of business.

Pricing and Content

Pricing and content of our wedding packages are correct at the time of printing, or as displayed on our website. Prices and content of our wedding packages, that are displayed in print and on the website are guaranteed at the time of booking. However, Digitello Photography reserves the right to change prices and content at any time without prior notice.

Copyright

All files retain legal copyright of Digitello Photography at all times, as described under Australian Statutory Law. Any photographs supplied to clients, either in a print form, for display on the Internet or for inclusion onto video, cannot be used for any commercial purpose. They are strictly for personal use only.

Image Formatting

Photographs for inclusion onto video will incur an additional charge of $30.00.

Selecting Your Wedding Photographs

Digitello Photography provides a pin-number protected Online Viewing Gallery, which displays the total amount of images that were taken on the day. The Online Viewing Gallery is included within each package and is posted online approximately 2-3 days after the event, depending on the workload at the time. From this Online Viewing Gallery the couple can then select their photographs for their wedding album.

Please bear in mind that the photos displayed within the Online Viewing Gallery have undergone only a minimal amount of post-production at this stage in the workflow. Full post-production (air-brushing, special effect techniques, conversion to black and white, sepia, etc.) is applied to the images that are for inclusion within the wedding album.

We ask that clients select their wedding photographs (including any requested changes, such as black and white, sepia etc. within 30 days of their Online Viewing Gallery being posted. This would be appreciated, especially during the peak of our wedding season.

Once the photo selection has been submitted, post-production (air-brushing, special effect techniques, conversion to black and white, sepia, etc.) is then applied to those images. Photos are then printed and mounted within your wedding album, taking approximately 2 weeks to complete, depending on our workload.

Disclaimer

If the Photographer cannot complete the wedding photography assignment, either in part or in full due to unforseen accident and / or injury, outside of the Photographer’s control, Digitello Photography agrees to refund all monies paid by the Client, thus far, but have no further liability with respect to these terms and conditions.

The aforementioned disclaimer shall also extend to include and apply in the event of equipment malfunction and / or damage caused to the equipment without fault on the part of the Photographer.

Client / s agree that an entire wedding cannot be repeated, duplicated or re-enacted for the purposes of re-shooting the event and would limit Digitello Photography to the amount paid thus far, under these Terms and Conditions.
