Wedding Package Albums
The wedding albums, included in Packages A through to E are made especially for Russell Hunt Wedding Photography in Australia. The album is a traditional, acid-free, dry-mounted album, covered with an outer buckram textile and lined inside with black end sheets.
Buckram is a traditional bookbinding material which has a metallic sheen to it, making my
wedding albums very durable and robust, very importantly archival and very stylish.
My wedding albums are assembled from several components such as: the front and back covers, the spine, album pages with interleaving and nickel chicago screws.
The wedding album (covers, spine and pages) are bound together with chicago screws, which is a pin / screw fastening system that pierces through the album, spine and pages, binding them all together.
Due to utilizing the chicago pin / screw fastening system rather than a fixed adhesive method of bookbinding, it allows for the album to accommodate additional pages easily, thereby enabling the album to hold up to 52 pages or 100 photos of an approx 203mm x 139mm size. The additional two pages are free fly pages in the front and rear of the album.
My wedding albums are also large enough to accommodate photographs up to a size of 300mm X 330mm. Multiple photo layouts can also be achieved. Please follow this link for some examples.
The wedding albums also utilize a dry-mount method to affix the photographs in place.
Dry-mounting is a method of first placing the photograph onto the album page / surface by way of clear photo corners (because the photo corners are clear, they don't detract from the look of the photo).Once the photograph has been placed on the page, we then affix the photograph firmly into place with photo tabs to ensure that the photograph is securely mounted onto the page without any movement occurring to the photograph.
By affixing the photograph firmly to the page / surface, it minimises the likelihood of the photograph becoming loose and falling out or to become lost over time. It also prevents the photograph from becoming dog-eared, creased or torn.
Both my wedding albums and all mounting products that are used are all acid-free, which prevents any possible foxing or staining to the photograph.
